Sometimes Paul starts with a clear idea. More often, the wood answers back. A curve in the grain, a knot in the wrong place, a hidden line under the bark – these details nudge the piece in a new direction. The final sculpture is never mass-planned or mass-produced; it’s the honest outcome of a conversation between master maker and material.
